The Heathcote Education committee is based on our Heathcote land trust community. They run permaculture workshops either as an introduction for a weekend or as a certification program lasting up to 14 weeks. They run permaculture based gardens, give tours of the land to interested individuals and groups. They have various workshops in alternative building techniques and Spanish. They have an ongoing open house program and ran an alternative children’s home school program for several years for the children of the community as well as interested neighborhood children. They run an intensive hands on intern program of various lengths. This is a community immersion program as well as a gardening educational program.
